Flew this lovely scale looking mini Spitfire by phase 3 with its brushed motor and the word “fun” was the last thing on my mind while working the sticks to regain a massive stall on a sharp left turn, so i decided to juice it up a bit with some inexpensive electronics from HK.
Installed a Turnigy 2211 Brushless Indoor Motor 2300kv, stat sheet says to use a 2 or 3S lipo on a 7x prop, but giving the kv is only 2300, this motor can handle a 4s lipo ( 4 cell lipos are not sold at 350mAh, so you will have to make your own) on a smaller prop 5×5, APC prop is not recommended because of its weight and thickness.

GWS prop is doable, but for best performance, the multiplex super thin and flexible prop is optimal.

When installing the motor, remember to pitch it down about few millimeters and also to the right, here is a picture.

If you are interested to see how i mounted the motor, send me an email and i will try to take some pictures for you.
Here is a video of the hobby people spitfire in action, im using a GWS prop in the video so speed and performance is not at par.

1interested how you changed the motor..im thinking of converting it to 2 cell as its pretty useless as standard
cheers
