Hello Jim
the Slo V RTF Electric is a good plane, very light weight and costs $99
of course the GWS slow stick is also a great plane but a little bit of modification is needed e.g a brush less motor as it only comes with a brushed system, if you dont mind then its a great slow flyer.
and my all time favorite slow flier for a backyard is the ParkZone Ember 2 RTF Mode 1 rc plane, its a little guy that is just a super fun plane to fly around the house and backyard. price tag is $99 i believe , a great buy.
<img src="http://www.eflightwiki.com/eflightwiki/images/thumb/7/75/Parkzone-ember2.jpg/300px-Parkzone-ember2.jpg" width="300" height="172">

hope this helps you :)

I a semi-novis flyer that would like to purchase a slow flyer that could be flown in a 30 X 50 yard area with a very light breeze condition. Trees surround the yard so I have to control the flight. I would like a RTF top wing plane with a lipo battery pack for the reciever to get a maximum flying time before charging. Can you reccomend a plane that is relitively inexpensive. Maybe even a good quality micro.
