We’ll start with the most expensive RC military tank we were able to find on the market, which is the…
Tamiya 1/16 Leopard 2A6 RC Battle Tank
It would be an understatement to say the most expensive tank is ultramodern. It is light years ahead even from the tanks of 2018. It features a high-volume speaker, huge motors, digitally recorded sounds, realistic gun function, and a fully-rotating turret. Definitely not for small children! The high-quality device comes with a myriad of high-detail replication, like the actual machine it is based on. The sound effects are 100% real. These are the sounds of the real-life tank.
Just like the real machine, the 360° rotating turret turns at 9-second intervals. With its 9-degree depression and 20-degree elevation, the gun action replicates that of the real-life tank. The Tamiya 1/16 reloads automatically and returns to initial firing position fast. The lighting and lifelike action movements need to be seen to be appreciated.
The high-volume speaker synchronizes movement to sound, ensuring a major adrenaline rush. The lighting modes feature both combat and non-combat lighting combinations, a total of 7. The tank’s two powerful motors (540-size) augment realism and add to the muscle appeal.
Price: Around $870
RC US M1A2 Abrams RC Air Soft RC Battle Tank
This tank is fast, traditionally designed, and features 2 sound options with simple shift between them. It is also easy to access. The sound that it makes is a big part of the appeal. It gives users the exact battle tank feel with motor startup sound.
The tank’s turret can turn 320 degrees. The machine is equipped with the power and technology needed to carry out even the most advanced level operations thanks to the latest, most modern 2.4G system technology. The tank also features safe mode activation, minimizing the likelihood of an accident. In safe mode, accidental shooting is excluded.
Price tag stands at about $400
Taigen German Tiger 1 Electric Airsoft RC Tank
There’s absolutely nothing not to love about this WW II tank. Even if you’re not a fan of ultra-classical models, this beast will not leave you indifferent. The manufacturers have paid amazing attention to detail. Still, appearance is just one element of its appeal.
This tank shoots airsoft BBs, features heavy-duty, robust metal parts, military extras, and equally heavy-duty tracks. Other advantages include smoking exhaust and realistic sound effects. This gorgeous replica has been known to attract the interest of collectors.
It is heavy and massive at a 1:16 scale. Metal parts include the gear set, drive wheel, gun barrel, front and back hooks, caterpillar tracks, chassis, and underbody plate. The BBs add to the excitement. These are shot at a maximum distance of 82 ft. If you don’t have any experience with shooting, a starter pack of BBs is included in the kit to help you.
This is the least expensive tank on our list, but it’s still around the $540 mark. Its operating functions include right, left, forward, and back moves. There’s 360° super spin as well. Cannonball fire, rapid machine gun fire, and engine startup and shutdown contribute to the realistic sound.
After the attention to detail and size, you’ll notice the build. The tank features an independent suspension system and 2.4 GHz control equipment. There’s 100% steering accuracy, interference protection, and an extended (albeit unspecified) range.
