Parallel charging allows for multiple same cell count lipo batteries to be connected in parallel to create a single larger mAh battery that can then be charged together OR used in any application that asks for a larger capacity battery.

Unlike in series charging, which ups the voltage of the lipos, when you parallel connect batteries, it simply ups the capacity of the lipos, so the voltage does not change.

Most people parallel charge their lipos for a couple of reasons. If they cannot find a 6sell lipo with a 6000mAh capacity, they will purchase two 3sell lipos 3000mAh capacity and create a parallel adapter to connect both batteries and make them a 6S 6000mAh lipo for their RC airplane and or RC Helicopter. Another reason why people use parallel connections is to charge their batteries with one shot without having to charge them one by one. In other words, you can charge more than one battery at once.

Parallel charging will only work on same cell count batteries but they can surly have different capacities.

You can NOT parallel charge a 5S pack with a 2S pack, all packs in the parallel charge circuit must be of the same voltage rating.
